AGC at Hood Park
Hood Park + the Artists Group of Charlestown
present AGC@Hood - a members exhibit space at Hood Park
The AGC is pleased to partner with Hood Park in 2022 for a new initiative to display AGC members' artwork at 500 Rutherford Avenue as an extension of our non-profit mission and to foster community engagement with the arts in Charlestown.
In the Spring of 2021 Chris Kaneb, Manager of the new Hood Park LLC visited the Stove Factory Gallery (aka Donald Kelly Gallery) during our Spring exhibit, where he approached an AGC board member about bringing the Charlestown Arts Community to the new Hood Park Development at 500 Rutherford Avenue In Charlestown. This is the building that houses Cambridge College and Indigo Ag. This opportunity for the AGC and the new Hood Park LLC to come together to promote the local arts community was too good to pass up. After six months of discussions, an agreement was reached and the new AGC gallery at Hood Park was born. AGC members were surveyed for their interest and a schedule of solo, three month exhibits was set up.
All paintings may be purchased through the artist’s PayPal Account via the QR code on the labels.
The building at 500 Rutherford is open during regular business hours, 8-5 PM and there is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the entrance.
